Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. I have done B.Com. with major in Advanced Accountancy and I was also a student of CA. After completing my graduation, I was working with one of the export consultancies in Mumbai. The exposure was tremendous and I gained a lot from the work place.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. When I was handling the lower-level activities with my employer, I thought of moving-up in the value chain, and get the concepts and foundation on which the organizations are built.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. I took few tutorials and appeared for a lot of mock test series. CAT was the goal for me and I did well.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. If I was appearing for CAT, then IIMs were a must, but other than that, I was keenly looking for SPJIMR-Mumbai, IIFM-Bhopal, IRMA-Anand, IMDR-Pune, GIM-Goa and SCMHRD-Pune.
