Q. Date and location of
Interview. Were you given the option to choose? Was the interview date fixed or
rescheduled couple of times.
A. Date was in mid-April, No options for dates were given, but if you had
a genuine reason, then the Institute was accommodating.
Q. Can you tell us
about the panel that interviewed you?
A. Panel of three people who had a great deal of experience in
Consultancy and Behavioral Practices. These people have conducted interviews for
Fortune 500 Organisations internationally.
Q. How long was your
interview?
A. It was for 25 minutes.
Q. What was the first
question? The most interesting question? The most difficult question?
A. Narrate the most interesting incident of your life. What did you do
for your society and what they gained from it?
Q. How did you prepare
for the interview? While facing the panel, were you confident, did you feel
prepared?
A. I went for mock interviews and read about the real interviews. I was
feeling confident and I was well-prepared for the process.
Q. Was any feedback
given to you? What feedback did you receive from the panel at the end of
session?
A. No feedback was given.
Q. Did work experience
help in getting the choice of your school and also in dealing with the
curriculum?
A. Yes. It gave an idea about the real organizational scenerio.
Q. Getting into and
sailing through a B-school is easier for a Science Graduate than for someone
from Humanities background. Your comments please.
A. No, I don't think so, because B-schools look for various other
qualities where your science background might not help. Education and its
understanding gives an edge, not the kind of education.
Q. Will an MBA degree
add on to your existing career plan or did you decide to switch / start a career
in management?
A. It will add to my career plan.
Q. Why did you decide
to do MBA from this school?
A. I was impressed by the sound management principle and sheer simplicity
in delivering the core fundamentals of management education. This institute
believes in education of business and business of education, so it makes more
sense for getting value addition.
Q. Were you able to get
the school of your choice or did you compromise and opted for the best option
that was open / available for you?
A. I wanted to get into IIFM-Bhopal, but by the time I received a call, I
had already made a choice about IMDR-Pune.
