The SBA is reaching out to a larger audience through YouTube, according to the Nashville Business Journal. The administration, whose mission it is to stimulate interest in the small business sector, is offering recent graduates of MBA programs and entrepreneurs an opportunity to take advantage of the Recovery Act loan programs.
"With millions of visitors, most of them under 35, YouTube offers a prime opportunity to use current technology and the appeal of a popular online platform to further promote the agency's programs and services," said SBA Administrator Karen Mills.
The SBA will also post videos covering topics such as government contracting opportunities, exporting, growing a small business and success stories. The first post on the SBA's YouTube channel was a 60 second introduction to the administration. The channel will also host a feature called Delivering Success, which was co-produced by the U.S. Postal Service.
