Joining MBA
Q. After joining the
school, did you ever wish that you should have known certain more things about
the school before you became part of it? What are those?
A. Yes, the information provided in the brochures and the Internet is
always glossier than the reality. I wish I could have known that while the
course is fully-residential, the hostel comprises of apartments (rented out by
college) in some housing societies. The mess is in college while the apartments
are some distance away from the college.
Q. What is the toughest
area to handle in your studies?
A. The toughest area being able to manage studies along with the other
co-curricular activities that take place in our college very often. Maintaining
minimum attendance level in itself sometimes becomes difficult.
Q. Is there stress
level during studies?
A. The stress level comes from the fact that there is forced grading
system in place. In this system, a person's performance is measured against his
peers. All this leads to fierce competition for even a single mark. All this
keeps up the competitive spirit which brings in some stress also.
Q. Which one is your
best subject?
A. Marketing Management.
Q. Who is the best
faculty ?
A. V. V. Sople, Professor, Marketing Management.
Q. Scope of development
in your existing curriculum.
A. The curriculum is very vast which leads to hectic day schedules,
leaving little scope for flexibility, and hence, no room for extra co-curricular
activities. I would be glad if something can be done on this part.
Q. Tips for those who
wish to do MBA from your school.
A. Come here to lose your sleep for the next two years. But if you keep
learning and striving hard then you will definitely come out as a great manager.
