Interview-related Questions
Q. Date and location of
Interview. Were you given the option to choose? Was the interview date fixed or
rescheduled couple of times.
A. My date for interview was fixed and we didn't have any option for
rescheduling. Also we were not given any option to choose the location.
Q. Can you tell us
about the panel that interviewed you?
A. At my time, there were 3 panelists - One from IMT Nagpur, One from IMT
Ghaziabad and One from Industry.
Q. How long was your
interview?
A. My Interview was hardly 10 minutes long.
Q. What was the first
question? The most interesting question? The most difficult question?
A. First they asked me about myself. Second question they asked me was
about my hobbies and interests. Other questions I can't recollect. I am sorry
for that.
Q. How did you prepare
for the interview? While facing the panel, were you confident, did you feel
prepared?
A. At the time of interview, I was quite confident. The good thing about
the interview was, they didn't ask me any technical questions though I was an
engineer.
Q. Was any feedback
given to you? What feedback did you receive from the panel at the end of
session?
A. No feedback was given.
Q. Did work experience
help in getting the choice of your school and also in dealing with the
curriculum?
A. I don't have any work experience.
Q. Getting into and
sailing through a B-school is easier for a Science Graduate than for someone
from Humanities background. Your comments please.
A. Yes. Because I think B-schools prefer Science graduates more than
those from Humanities background.
Q. Will an MBA degree
add on to your existing career plan or did you decide to switch/start a career
in management?
A. MBA is in path of my career plan.
Q. Why did you decide
to do MBA from this school?
A. I had offers from other B-schools also, but IMT has a good brand name,
good infrastructure, very good faculty and other facilities. Also the placement
factor at IMT is very good.
Q. Were you able to get
the school of your choice or did you compromise and opted for the best option
that was open/available for you?
A. I opted the best available to me.
