Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. I am a Hotel Management Graduate from Institute of Hotel Management, GOA. I worked for 17 months at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi, but soon I realized that I can not be at the same level for long. I moved on for higher studies and got through Masters of Human Resources & Organizational Development (MHROD), Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University. Before this, I was also associated with SDIPA for around 9 months.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. When I realized that I am getting restricted in my routine work only and have to expand my knowledge horizons, some way or the other.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. Vocabulary. I started with newspaper reading.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. Of course, the top league. But I wanted to go for either HR or Marketing only.
