Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. I completed my graduation from College of Business Studies, Delhi University as a graduate in BFIA (Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis) in 2006. It is a three-year degree program with specialization in Finance. I got placed in a leading New York K.P.O having its South Asian office in Gurgaon.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. The next step towards the corporate arena is a MBA program. This fact is somehow well-established among the students. Moreover, both my cousins were studying in leading B-schools in the country, which provided me the required motivation to excel and go for this program.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. Just the determination to excel and be selected in one of the leading schools is the key. I talked with my cousins, college alumni's in these institutes, about how to go about with the preparation and later joined a coaching program in 3rd year.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. IIMs, XLRI, FMS and all leading institutes in the country (this list is available on many sites and business magazines). I was keen on going for a finance and marketing specialization.
