IT beneficial for management students -- Prof. V. Sambamurthy

Prof. V. Sambamurthy of the Eli Broad School of Business at the Michigan State University and Prof. Deepak Chandra of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad delivered lectures on the importance of MBA, Information Technology. Prof. Sambamurthy pointed out that mix of IT, management and other functional areas gave the IIIT students an all round edge in the dynamic and changing environment. Prof. Chandra stressed on the research work to be carried on by the faculty and students on burning issues in technology and management and guided on the understanding of use of IT in today's field of management. Certain IT and management papers were integrated taking the requirement of the programme into cognizance. The projects to be undertaken by students during the course were discussed at length.
