Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. Before joining MBA program at IIFM, Bhopal, I did BIT (Bachelor of Information Technology) from IGNOU and I have a Higher National Diploma in Computing from EDEXCEL Enterprises, London, UK. I did my schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Janakpuri, New Delhi.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. In 2005, I planned to appear for CAT and some other MBA exams, and I got calls from some MBA institutes like IMDR Pune, IIFM-Bhopal, Wellingkar-Mumbai, ICFAI Hyderabad, UPES Dehradun, S. P. Jain Dubai-Singapore, etc...

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. I first collected the information about the admission procedures of various institutes in India and the profiles and rankings of each institute. Then I decided as to which B-schools to apply for.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. Besides the above-mentioned B-schools, I applied to FORE-New Delhi, XLRI-Jamshedpur, SCMHRD-Pune and TAPMI-Manipal.
