Q. When did you start
your preparation?
A. After my Engineering in the year 2005.
Q. How many months and
how many hours daily did you devote for preparation to entrance procedures?
A. 4 months and a dedicated 2 hours everyday.
Q. Did you take up some
coaching institute or you believed in self-study?
A. I took up coaching as I had only 4 months before the November CAT and
wanted the right guidance, so that there were no regrets later!!!
Q. Can you tell us
which are your favorite books, books that you used for preparing for entrance,
books for self-development and books for pure relaxation?
A. I am not much of a reading person, but I read the newspapers and
various business magazines.
Q. What was your
experience with coaching? Some feedback about faculty, coaching material and
your overall experience with particular center.
A. My coaching centre - TIME, Trivandrum - was very useful. The faculty
were friendly, very experienced and knew very well what they were doing. I
particularly liked the post-CAT counseling sessions on which institute to
choose, etc.
Q. What are the others
books & tests which you used for your MBA preparation?
A. Used only TIME provided material which I believed was pretty
comprehensive.
Q. What was your
strongest and weakest area while preparing for MBA coaching?
A. Strongest - DI
Weakest - Quant
Q. Some tips which you
used for mastering Quant, RC, etc.
A.Tips from the coaching centre for solving, also to realize when you
should leave a question and move to the next to save time!!!
Q. Which all Exams and
B-schools you applied to?
A. CAT & MAT.
Q. Your present
B-school and course.
A. B-school: Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore. Course: PGDM.
Q. What procedures your
school has for admission to its MBA program?
A. Short-listing on CAT Scores, then calling for a GD/Extempore, and then
a Final Interview.
Q. What is the range of
score for students who are admitted?
A. 75+ percentile. (Though we have students with scores of 95 percentile
and above too).
Q. What was your score?
A. 80 percentile.
