5. After
Joining MBA
Q. After joining the
school, did you ever wish that you should have known certain more things about
the school before you became part of it? What are those ?
A. Not really. Before I joined, we were amply 'warned' by a 18-page
offer-letter which promised the worst kind of discipline and rigour. I am glad I
was mentally prepared for the extreme circumstances, and the institute has lived
up to its promise!
Q. What is the toughest
area to handle in your studies?
A. I find Statistics and Operations Research (both quantitative topics)
the hardest to handle.
Q. Is there stress
level during studies?
A. The stress level here is something that I have never even come close
to in my entire life! We have no holidays, we stay up till the late hours, we
have surprise tests and basically we are overstressed, but the collective stress
makes it fun!
Q. Which one is your
best subject?
A. Marketing Management and Written & Oral Communication are my favourite
subjects.
Q. Who is the best
faculty?
A. Prantosh Banerjee, our Marketing and Research Methodology Professor,
is unanimously the best faculty in our college.
Q. Scope of development
in your existing curriculum.
A. 18 subjects are really not required and also more case studies and
application-based curriculum can be implemented.
Q. Tips for those who
wish to do MBA from your school.
A. You can happily kiss your social life a goodbye for two years!
Concluded.
