Objectives:
Analytics focuses on discovering knowledge from
various data repositories, both internal and external, to improve business
processes and also to support better decision making. Statistics and Data mining
techniques are extensively used as tool kits for business analytics.
In recent years with the emergence of a keenly competitive business environment
and highly demanding customers, improving business processes, making accurate
forecasting, understanding customers behaviour for retention and market
penetration are becoming all the more important. Business analytics are now
indispensable for making all these happen.
The objective of this programme
is to equip the participants with the knowledge of advanced analytical
techniques in statistics and data mining. The techniques discussed would be
supplemented by case studies, examples and adequate number of hands on sessions
so that participants can get a feel for the applications especially its use in
fine tuning the business goals and enhance decision making with informed
choices.
