Two
Year Full Time Post Graduate Programme in Management
Two
year Full-Time Post Graduate Programme in Management consists
of Six Trimesters. The course structure has been designed to
ensure that the management graduates of LBSIM develop a judicious
blend of strategic thinking and tactical implementation, specialised
knowledge and general management skills. In the three Trimesters
during the first year, the focus is primarily on basic courses
to build a foundation of conceptual and analytical skills required
for more specialised study in various functional areas to be
pursued in the second year of the programme. The students have
to take 21 courses along with Personal and Interpersonal Effectiveness
lab and Summer Training during the year. The students may also
have the opportunity to take Foreign Language as an optional
course during the first year.
In the second year, during the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Trimesters,
the students have to opt for 11 electives over and above 4 compulsory
courses. This enables the students to pursue in-depth learning
in the area of their specialisation. The electives cover a minimum
of two functional areas which equip the LBSIM graduates with
multiple functional skills.
Eligibility
Atleast a three
year bachelor�s degree or equivalent in any discpline recognized
by AICTE as eligible for post graduate studies. Students appearing
for the final year of degree axamination in 2006 can also apply.
Admission Procedure
All candidates seeking admission to LBSIM are required to appear
in the CAT to be conducted by the IIMs on 20/11/05.

Three
Year Full Time Post Graduate Programme in Management (Evening)
for Working Executives
The
Three Year Post Graduate Programme in Management (Evening) consists
of Six Semesters. The First Three Semesters primarily focus
on basic courses to build a foundation of knowledge and skills
required for more specialised study in various functional areas
to be pursued in Second Year (Fourth Semester) and Third Year
of the Programme. In the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Semesters of
the course, electives will be offered to enable the participants
to pursue in-depth learning in the area of their specialisation.
The range of courses has been carefully planned to meet the
needs of students, society and the prospective employers.

Year Full Time Post Graduate Programme in Master of Computer
Applications
The
Three Year Full-Time Post Graduate Programme in Master of Computer
Applications (MCA) consists of Six Semesters as per the syllabus
and schedule of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Eligibility conditions, admission procedure and fees will be
as per G.G.S. Indraprastha University rules. The commencement
of the course is August 01, 2005.
Facilities
Computer
Centre
The
computer centre is equipped with the latest hardware and software
facilities to handle all the requirements of the students. A
qualified computer centre incharge along with the faculty keeps
the students informed about the latest versions.
Library
The
library has over 15,000 books and subscribes to over 150 national
and international journals and magazines. Leading titles in
every area of management and the latest in management literature
is available in the library. Video Cassettes concerning a variety
of management topics are available. The library provides index
and abstracting facilities for around 50 business magazines
and journals. Data bases on Companies, News and Queries on Capital
Stock Markets can be accessed from any of the 75 nodes available
in the Institute.
The library is
affiliated with the Developing Library Network (DELNET) under
which it has access to over 150 libraries in and around Delhi.
In addition, the LBSIM library is also a member of the British
Council Library and the American Centre. |
