Introduction

Chetana's Institute of Management and Research was inaugurated on 28th August 1981 with an objective of not only imparting Quality Management Education but also for the overall personality development of the students.

Courses Offered

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM)

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) is a two years full time programme. The autonomous PGDBM course commenced in 1993 to cater to the ever-changing business needs. The institute believes in constant up gradation in the light of various improvements and innovation. As companies become more dynamic, global, and entrepreneurial, business leaders need both broader and deeper skills to succeed. With this end in mind, the Institute has used the inherent strength of the PGDBM Course.

Eligibilty
Individuals having a three year Bachelors degree with minimum of 45 % marks can apply for the program. Applicants are required to take latest test either CAT/MAT/ XAT/ATMA/CET/Chetana's Entrance Test

Admission Process
Admission will be based on Written test - Marks obtained in one of the five entrance test CET/CAT/XAT/ATMA/ Chetana's Entrance Test. Group Discussion & Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.

Masters in Management Science

The full time MMS course of 2 years duration consists of four academic semesters. Admissions are limited to a carefully selected group of about 60 participants.

The functional groups offered are as follows :
1. Marketing
2. Finance
3. Human Resources
4. Operations
5. Systems

Eligibility
Candidates who have taken a Bachelors' degree in any faculty of Mumbai University or of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto are eligibile for the entrance exam.
Final year students may also apply.

Admission Process
All the eligible candidates have to take the Common Entrance Test (CET) ,administered by Directorate of Technical Education followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Three year part time Masters degree in Marketing Management (MMM)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Management aims at preparing IT professionals. It is a rigorous full time program with a focus on Business and Web Applications, Design and Development, while encompassing all aspects germane to the rapidly growing area of Information Technology.

The concept and design of the PGDCM program is based on the following tenets:
1. The IT professionals of the future have to be well-rounded in multiple areas of work content, with a good understanding of business and management processes in the context of IT applications, communication skills and thorough understanding of IT application lifecycle.
2. IT lndustry's need for strong designers and developers of applications using sophisticated methodologies and tools

Three year part time Masters degree in Marketing Management (MMM)

The program covers all the related areas of marketing including public sector marketing. It seeks to develop an integrated top management perspective, which is necessary for marketing executive to move in to top-level management positions. Candidates seeking admission to this program must have practical experience ( Minimum 2 Years) in any of the following related areas. Marketing Planning, Sales Management, Marketing Research, Distribution, Public Relations, Advertising, Export Marketing and Applied Economics.

Eligibility
The minimum requirements for admission are:
Bachelor's Degree of this University in any other recognised university.
Two year's working experience in Supervisory/Executive Cadre after having obtained the Bachelor's Degree.

Admission Procedure
All the eligible candidates have to take the written test conducted by the Institute followed by the Group Discussion and Interview, if short listed.

In selecting the candidate for admission weightage will be given to
1. Scholastic record of the candidate,
2. The level and nature of practical experience and
3. Performance in the selection program (i.e. written test, group discussion and/or personal Interview) conducted by the Institute.
