Of Business Administration
Master
of Business Administration is offered by Bangalore
University and is a two year fulltime course. This
program is Affiliated to Bangalore University; Approved by AICTE,
New Delhi; Accredited by NBA for three years from March 2004;
and Certified under ISO 9001:2000. The MBA program is designed
for individuals who show high promise as managers and provides
a solid background for higher levels of responsibility.
To qualify for a specialisation in a stream, a student will
have to take a minimum of 5 electives which are developed and
updated from time to time. Further, under the Bangalore University
scheme, dual specialization is mandatory.
Students are required to work in an organisation for 8 weeks
during the second semester. This is designed to integrate classroom
instructions, career goals and work related experience. A satisfactory
completion of this internship training is a pre-requisite for
a student appearing in the final examinations.
Eligibilty
Students
seeking admission to the MBA Program should have passed Bachelor's
degree / Master's degree examination of any recognised education
body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering
/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of
marks in the aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates). In addition
the candidates should have appeared for one of the recognized
All India Management Aptitude Tests (such as MAT, CAT, XAT,
ATMA etc.). Aspiring candidates are expected to be highly motivated
self- learners with a clear focus on their careers.
Post Graduate Diploma In Management (PGDM)
Alliance
Business School offers the Postgraduate Diploma in Management
(PGDM) program with a Global Management Perspective and Focus.
PGDM is offered by Alliance Business School with concentration
areas in Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management.
Alliance's PGDM is an academically rigorous program that brings
contemporary management theories and practices into the classroom.
Some of the courses in this program are designed and delivered
entirely by Distinguished Faculty from the USA. Further, Alliance
Business School and the Social Systems Research Institute (SSRI),
USA, have entered into a Joint Venture Agreement which aims
to complement and leverage on the strengths of the two organizations
in a variety of ways including providing for exchange of internationally
renowned faculty who will teach in this program.
PGDM students complete the entire program in twenty-one months
spread over seven terms. Students are required to work in an
organization for eight to ten weeks during the program. This
internship is designed to integrate classroom instruction, career
goals and work related experience. A satisfactory completion
of this internship training is a prerequisite for a student
to graduate from the program.

Students seeking
admission to this program should have passed Bachelor / Master
Degree Examination of any recognized education body in Commerce,
Management, Arts, Science, Engineering, Technology or equivalent.
The candidate should also have appeared for one of the Management
Aptitude Tests and performed well on the test. Due regards for
work experience will be given. Other things being equal, candidates
with good GMAT and TOEFL scores would be given preference.

Students admitted to this program will complete two terms (six
months) of Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) coursework
from Alliance Business School and upon meeting the stipulated
academic requirements, transfer all credits towards the Master
of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of
Michigan-Flint. Upon completion of the PGDM coursework and at
least 30 specified graduate credit hours at UMF, students fulfill
the requirements for graduation from UMF with the degree of
Master of Business Administration.
The MBA program at the University of Michigan-Flint is designed
to educate individuals to think effectively about solutions
to contemporary challenges faced by management. The program's
focus is on learning and applying the principles of problem

Eligibility
Admission requirements for the ABS - UMF
MBA program are similar to the admission requirements of the
PGDM program of Alliance Business School. Students seeking admission
to the ABS-UMF MBA Program should have passed Bachelor's degree/Master's
degree examination of any recognized education body in Engineering,
Commerce or Management and secured a first class. A high score
in MAT/CAT/ATMA/XAT is essential.

Library and Information Services
The Academy�s library is the main source of books and periodicals
and other study materials for all students. During the course.
You will also find previous exam papers, time tables, maps and
other useful reference materials. Library and Information services
are open late hours and will not be a collection of books. It
will also provides information on a variety of forms- books,
periodicals, journals-both Indian and international, audio-visuals
materials, electronic database and people.
Information regarding several business periodicals will be available
through the CD-roms for all the students. Also the students
can obtain information over the internet. Materials and
books not immediately available with the Institute can be bought
by the students from the IIM-B library which is 1.2 km from
the institute.

Lab and Computing Services
whatever your chosen area of specialisation, computing skills
will be an asset in your career. In recoginisation of this,
the Institute has invested and will continue to invest in the
state-of-the-art computing facilities complete with internet
and MULTIMEDIA facilities
The computing facilities is open late hours and the access granted
to the lab at the flash of your ID.
All the machines presently are Pentium based and connection
over a LAN. You will have access to variety of mainstream PC
software, including industry standard application packages,
growing range of windows software, discipline specific software,
ERP, SPSS, ERS and a host of other software for analyzing the
