The Small Business Administration, a federal agency, is hosting its Economic Recovery Forum in Springfield today. The purpose of the forum is to tell small businessmen and women about some of the contracting opportunities the government offers.
"Government agencies at the local, state and federal levels, along with various Fortune 500 companies, will outline their plans for Recovery Act spending, which provide contracting opportunities for Illinois small businesses," said Illinois District Director Judith A. Roussel.
Roussel says that in addition to accessing information about opportunities, attendees might have a chance to form valuable relationships with members of their industry.
