An internet marketing professional says that MBAs, entrepreneurs and small business people who want to start online companies should be aware of certain scams that present themselves as profitable opportunities.
Karen Newman works in online marketing and says some of the companies that offer their services to small internet businesses could actually be scam operations.
"The direct sales industry has always been fertile ground for scammers seeking to mislead people and extract their hard-earned dollars," said Newman. "While this is nothing new, online scammers are finding it very easy to thrive in this environment and many people are losing a lot of money in the process."
Newman is a business coach at CarbonCopyPRO, a company that helps entrepreneurs launch their startups.
