By the My MBA Career Content Team Find Top MBA Degree Programs California is experiencing a job drought and this is making life difficult for everyone, MBAs included. But one entrepreneur is trying to cure unemployment.
The unemployment rate in California hasn't been this high in 70 years, but Adryenn Ashley is looking to change that. The Marin native says she was born an entrepreneur. When Ashley was seven, she started making customized headbands for dancers and sold them door-to-door. But now her business is helping other professionals succeed.
Ashley created the CashFlowDNA Bootcamp and organized the Curing Unemployment Tour. People who participate in either will be shown how to structure their business ideas. Bootcamp grads will also be provided with a blueprint for success and instructed on how to implement it.
"With California near insolvency (dare I say it, perhaps bankruptcy), relying on the government for your next meal may not be the best game plan," she says. "And job 'security' isn't what it once was. It's time to think outside the box... better yet, BURN THE BOX!"
The Bootcamp begins on Friday, October 2 and lasts three days. If starting a business has always been your goal, an MBA degree could help you achieve it. In an MBA program, students acquire the skills successful entrepreneurs need, and programs like Ashley's reinforce this know-how.
