A regional developer and business coach who received his MBA from a well-known university in California was recently recognized for his achievements.

Bob Tierno was presented the Business Coaching Excellence Award on October 5 at a conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Tierno earned the award for the help he has given to aspiring entrepreneurs as a business coach.

"Bob has shown great leadership as a business coach serving the small business community and those seeking business ownership opportunities," said Terry Powell, the CEO of a business coaching franchiser.

SCORE, a small business mentoring organization, says that 90 percent of startups fail within 10 years. Tierno said of this claim, "Our goal is to prevent business owners from becoming part of these statistics. The good news is, we have proven rapid impact strategies and a proven process to assist the small business community continue to strive and thrive."
