MBAs, entrepreneurs and other small businessmen and women might be interested to know that they might now have access to more credit than before.
Mary Landrieu, chair of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, recently introduced a bill that increases small business loan limits.
"We must do everything in our power to help our nation's innovators and job creators," said Landrieu. "Ensuring small businesses have the access to capital they need is the first, and perhaps most critical, step."
Landrieu's efforts have raised small business loan limits to $5.5 million. She said that with the national unemployment rate at nearly 10 percent, bills like hers are an integral part of the country's financial recovery. "I have heard time and time again that the current small business loan limits do not adequately meet their needs."
