Government Protects MBAs Who Run A Small Business

MBAs might be interested to know that last spring the President signed Public Law 111-24, which led to the Small Business Information Task Force.

The task force was created to provide MBAs, entrepreneurs and other small businessmen and women with information technology (IT) security that could prevent the loss of credit card data, for example. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is currently looking for new members for the task force.

The main responsibilities of the task force are to identify the IT security needs of small business people, evaluate the services currently provided to small businesses by both public and private organizations, work with the SBA to better serve entrepreneurs and determine whether or not a permanent advisory board should be formed.
