By the My MBA Career Content Team � Find Top MBA Degree Programs Current and graduated MBA students along with other members of a university community in the state of Indiana will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
The university is holding its fourth annual Company Fund Raising Boot Camp on October 12 in Lafayette. The event is free and the keynote speaker will be one of the school's graduates who is now a CEO.
Some of the topics to be addressed during the boot camp will be how to write a business plan and how to avoid the common problems that many startups have. There will also be a segment on fund raising that will cover how aspiring entrepreneurs can take advantage of Indiana's 21st Century Science and Technology Fund.
Some participants will also be asked to develop a 15-minute presentation that they will prepare with a coach and that will be judged by an outside panel in January. Attendees with the best presentation can win a trip to Silicon Valley to pitch their ideas to investors in May.
