By the My MBA Career Content Team Find Top MBA Degree Programs An American restaurant chain and fast food franchise is offering MBAs and entrepreneurs a chance to participate in its expansion.
A&W Restaurants intends to open new locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Oregon by the end of the year. The chain's new 3-D experience is comprised of drive-in, drive-through and dine-in services.
A&W is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, and the 3-D experience and new locations that are to open in the four states are part of the restaurant's long-term growth plan.
"As America's Original Drive-In, we have developed legions of customers around the country who can recall their first experience at an A&W Restaurant," said Doug Heinrich, the chain's development strategy director.
A&W menus are mainly built around burgers, fries and hot dogs, but the restaurant's flagship item is its root beer. A&W is based in Louisville, Kentucky and says it's the longest-running quick service restaurant franchise in the U.S.
If you're interested in franchising, but aren't sure you have the skills to run a business such as an A&W restaurant, consider enrolling in an MBA program today. An MBA degree could very well give you the tools you need to operate your own location.
