Job Description:

Reports to: - Managing Director, India.
Dotted-line Reporting to: - HR Director, AAP.
Job Purpose: - Provides advice and assistance to business heads and line managers in relation to a range of human resources activities including sourcing and retention of talent, employee counseling and performance management, employee relations, and development, process improvement.
Main Responsibilities: -
Operational HR

  • With local business understanding, implement HR initiatives relevant to the local markets.

  • Recommend policies and detailed programs for introduction in line with the business and local needs.

  • Work closely with the managers to oversee and ensure the integrity of processes with regards to the local corporate goals and objectives.

  • Act as a confidential sounding board to managers.

  • Ensure timely reporting to the region as required including providing accurate information to payroll.
    Sourcing of Talent

  • Partner with line management to ensure the best candidates are identified and ensuring a smooth and effective hiring process.

  • Actively seek to increase the speed and quality of candidates while managing recruiting costs.
    Compensation & Benefits

  • Work closely with functional heads and managers to help them understand the compensation system and to help them make appropriate recommendations within the deadlines.

  • Administer the benefit program and provides feedback to HRD on possible improvements.
    Training & Development

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the training plan including training needs analysis.

  • Manage the orientation program.

  • Source appropriate local training as the needs arise.
    Performance Management

  • Work with managers to ensure objectives and performance measures are clear, measurable and results focused.
    Employee Communications

  • Work with the regional office on the employee communication initiative.
    Projects

  • Contribute to regional and global HR projects as and when needed.

    Candidate Profile:
  • 10 years HR experience with at least 5 years generalist experience and a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline. MBA would be an added advantage.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated capacity to act independently within established guidelines, using discretion and sound judgment.

  • Enthusiasm, personal drive, strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humour.

  • Must be willing to "roll up their sleeves" to make things happen with a sense of urgency.

  • Keeps abreast of industry trends, works well in a highly interactive environment and shares knowledge.
