Role: -
This is a senior position in the Centre of Excellence in Credit
Services of the bank, which will serve as a back-office
supporting the global operations in credit services of the bank.
The selected candidate would be responsible for heading a team
of high quality credit professionals who will be engaged in
complex credit analysis of the company's global large corporate
/ FI clients. The teams in the analysis group undertake complex
and incisive client level analysis using financial statements /
cash flow statements, compare the client performance with the
industry and peer performance, validate their view on the
company by comparing them with the views of global rating
agencies, and be responsible for accuracy of internal risk
rating scores for the client. The team will take a view on the
credit risk involved, suggest a suitable credit exposure level,
and suggest risk mitigants and structure debt where necessary.
The team would be also responsible for analyzing / looking at
viability of business opportunities and exposure suggested by
the Relationship Managers that may go beyond the purview of
traditional lending / corporate banking, and may overlap with
the investment banking domain. The team will be supervised by
the team leads who will be reporting to Head, Credit Analysis.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the deliverables
to onshore business partners in terms of quality and timeliness
of reviews submitted from the offshore centre. The position
demands proven leadership capabilities, track record of having
experience in carrying out hands-on analysis of large global
corporates, a fair understanding of global financial markets and
demonstrated skills of working under strict timelines to deliver
the output across different time zones, geographies and
economies in an environment that supports meritocracy and breeds
absolute professionalism at work.
Responsibilities: - Primary Responsibilities will include
the following activities: -
Leading a team of
high quality credit professionals engaged in Corporate Analysis
of complex nature, to ensure that the deliverables are met by
initiating suitable workflow management initiatives that are
necessary.
Responsible for
team�s output in terms of exceptionally high commitment to
quality of reviews and timeliness of delivery.
Review analysis
reports prepared by analysts and checked by the team leads and
giving constructive feedback.
Interact with
onshore business partners to serve as an effective interface
between the Analysts, team leads and the onshore business
partners for exchange of views, feedback and information.
Coach and mentor
junior analysts who need mentoring support and initiate training
and professional development measures that keep all the analysts
absolutely contemporary and world class in terms of their
abilities.
Undertake
performance reviews where necessary and be responsible for the
performance management of the entire team of analysts.
Involve in
strategic discussions with the senior management team both at
the offshore centre at Bangalore and also with onshore business
partners to enhance the quality of output from the offshore
centre.
The role would
involve capacity planning, attrition management and recruitment
management to ensure that there is always a pool of trained
Credit Analysts who would be able to deliver the desired output
under timelines that are agreed upon.
The selected
candidate, may, at times, have to involve in actual hands-on
analysis depending on the exigencies of work and complexity of
issues involved.
To understand,
follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and
external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the
conduct of the business involved, specifically Internal Controls
and any Compliance Policy including inter alia, the Group
Compliance policy.
To maintain the
company's Internal Control standards, including the timely
implementation of internal and external audit points together
with any issues raised by external regulators.
To be aware of
the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and act
in a manner that takes account of operational risk
considerations.
