Headquartered in New York City, Global Quality Services began to develop as a business concept more than 20 years ago. By then its President, David McVey had already worked for several large international inspection and testing organizations, selling and servicing import clientele. Over time, he began to realize that all too often, the bureaucratic structure of these large organizations had an adverse impact on the quality and consistency of their performance. In other words, many of his colleagues were not totally committed to the continuous quality improvement of their performance, or more importantly, the client's product. This less than positive attitude resulted in a lack of problem solving, little supplier education, and high turnover of clientele. |
