SPJMR team wins ET-Citi Grandmasters

The team from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, comprising of Aditya Gupta and Harish Sridharan (first year studetnts in the PGDM course), won the ET-Citi Grandmasters conducted jointly by The Economic Times and Citibank. The final competition was conducted by Derek O' Brien and was held at the Grand Hyatt Regency in Mumbai. Aditya and Harish, won a trip to Egypt and a Pre Placement Interview from Citibank, along with other goodies. SPJIMR, who were the representatives of Mumbai zone, took on the other zone winners, IIM-A (Ahmedabad Zone), IIM-B (Bangalore zone), IIT-D (Delhi Zone) and IISWB (Kolkatta zone). The competition consisted of six rounds, of which four were normal Management quiz rounds and two rounds which tested the participant's presentation skills. The first round for testing the presentation skills involved one of the team members speaking for two minutes on both sides of a given topic. For the next round, the other team member played the role of Quizmaster for one question. The team from IIT-Delhi were the Runners up ahead of IIM-B who finished third.
