It was just another day at school for Shannoo Khan, but fate frowned upon this little girl of class two in ND Primary School, Narela, North Delhi.
Having failed to recite english alphabets in class, she was hit by the Manju, her teacher and forced to stand in the hot sun for two hours. The furious teacher, allegedly hit Shannoo's head against the table before making her face Delhi's April heat.
She fainted subsequently and was found unconscious by her younger sister studying in the same schoolm, who then informed their mother Rihanna. Though the distraught mother rushed Shanoo to Maharshi Valmiki Hospita, immediately on thursday- 16th April, the 11 year old passed away today- Friday, 17th April.
The doctors in Maharshi Valmiki Hospital had already deemed her Shannoo's condition as critical and she was shifted to Lok Nayak Hospital, where she was given treatmentfor "ventilatory failure" in the intensive care unit (ICU).
The principal of the school-Dhanpati, and the teacher- Manju have been suspended. The Police have confirmed that the child was punished at school, despite claims of innocence by the school authorities.
