The
Programme
The PGDM is the most sought after
programme of AIMA-CME (All India Management Association - Centre for
Management Education). It is being offered since 1993 and is widely
acclaimed for its strong curriculum in the industry and academic circles. It is
designed not only to impart the knowledge of core subjects such as Accounting,
Economics, Finance and Marketing but also lays special stress on developing
skills and competencies through exposure to real business situations in the form
of case studies.
AIMA leverages its close linkages with the industry to assess emerging needs and
factor them on to its programmes. The latest and updated PGDM curriculum has
been launched from January 2005.
Structure
of the Programme
PGDM has a modular structure.
There are four modules in this programme. The first, second and fourth module
are common to all programme participants. The third module is specialisation
module where one has the option to select one specialisation from seven vital
areas: Marketing, Finance, International Business, Human Resource, Operations,
Information Systems and Insurance.
A modular certificate is awarded
on successful completion of each module. The titles of the certificates are as
follows: -
Module I: Diploma in Management
Module II: Advanced Diploma in
Management
Module III: Professional Diploma
in Management
Module IV: Post Graduate Diploma
in Management
For Whom
Working Graduates.
Professionals such as Engineers /
CAs / CFAs / ICWAs / Technologists.
Fresh Graduates who wish to
combine study with work or any other specialized stream of education.
Eligibility
Graduation (10+2+3) from any
recognized University and MAT/CAT qualified as per AIMA norms.
Duration
Minimum 3 years and maximum 5
years. Four modules of six months each followed by comprehensive project work.
