Management (EFPM)
(Beginning July 2008)
The Fellow Program in Management
(FPM) is the doctoral level programme of MDI. The objective of the Fellow
Programme is to provide high quality management education to develop outstanding
scholars, who wish to pursue a career in research and teaching in the field of
management.
MDI is looking for candidates with a consistently good academic record,
professional accomplishments and strong urge to contribute to the process of
knowledge creation and dissemination in the field of management.
The
Programme
FPM is a residential
program and would take approximately three to four years to complete. EFPM
is largely a non-residential programme only for candidates from National Capital
Region and would take approximately four to five years to complete. The students
are expected to undergo course work and submit a thesis at the end of the
program.

Specialization
Business Communication,
Economics, Finance, Human Behaviour & Organization Development, Human Resource
Management, Information Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Strategic
Management and PPG (for EFPM only).
Eligibility
Candidates should have a Master's
degree or equivalent diploma in Business Management with a minimum of 55% marks
in the qualifying examination. Candidates with Master's qualifications in a
functional management area, such as Finance (MFC), Business Economics (MBE),
Human Resource Management (HRM) may also be considered eligible for
specialization in that area, if they satisfy other requirements.
Additional
requirement for EFPM
Candidates applying for EFPM need
to have a minimum of 10 years of managerial / executive work experience. Also
the minimum age limit for admission to this program is 35 years as on 1st
January 2008.
FPM
Financial Scholarship (Offered by MDI)
FPM students shall be provided
with financial assistance of Rs. 13,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand only) per
month for a maximum period of 3 years.
EFPM Fee
(Payable by the Student)
Rs. 50,000/- per annum.
How to
Apply
The Information Brochure and
Application Form shall be available on payment of Rs. 1500/- in cash or by
sending a crossed demand draft of Rs. 1550/- in favour of the Management
Development Institute payable at New Delhi till 14 March 2008. The form can
also be downloaded from the MDI website. The last date for receipt of
filled in application forms at MDI is 17 March 2008.
