Doctoral-Level Fellow Programme
in Management (FPM)
Eligibility
Postgraduates in any discipline
with at least 55% marks, or those who possess professional qualifications such
as BE / BTech, CA, CS, CWA, MBA / PGDM, MCA, MFC, etc., with at least 55% marks
are eligible to write the XIMB Research Aptitude Test. In case, the score is
available on a letter-grade system, we will expect a minimum cumulative score of
4.40 on an 8-point scale (or 5.50 on a 10-point scale). Although the eligibility
is defined in the above terms, the Institute would prefer candidates with
excellent academic record and relevant professional experience.
Application
Procedure
Applicants have to apply online
for the XIMB's Fellow Programme in Management, by logging on to
www.ximb.ac.in. Upon successfully filling the online application form, the
payment advice form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the
same. This payment advice form has to be mailed to the Admissions Office, Xavier
Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee
(non-refundable) in one of the following forms: -
a. Original Bank
remittance slip, after depositing Rs. 800/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India
branch in the Account No. 30004980231 of Xavier Institute of Management,
Bhubaneswar;
OR
b. A Demand Draft for Rs.
800/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management and drawn on State
Bank of India, Fortune Tower branch (Code: 4414), Bhubaneswar. DDs drawn on
other banks and payable at Bhubaneswar will also be accepted.
On receipt of the DD / SBI
remittance slip (or cash across the XIMB counter) for the required amount and
the completed payment advice form, the Bulletin 2006 will be mailed to the
applicant. The last date for applying online is December 10, 2005.
The acceptance of XIMB
application registered online will be subject to receipt of the application fee
and the completed payment advice form by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment, the
eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the status of their
applications. The Admit Cards for appearing the test will be mailed to them by
the last week of December.
Selection
Process
Stage 1: All applicants
have to appear for the XIMB Research Aptitude Test, usually conducted in
early January. The test is conducted at the following centres: Bhubaneswar,
Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Some centres may be dropped due to
inadequate number of applicants.

Stage 2: Based on their
performance in the above test as well as their academic and professional
achievements, a small number of candidates will be invited for a seminar and
personal interview at Bhubaneswar. All the invited candidates will be offered
local hospitality in the XIMB campus. They will be reimbursed AC (2-tier)
railway fare through the shortest route, on production of the railway tickets.
