The
Programme
An 11-month transformational
programme for enabling executives with some work experience to take up
globally-oriented management positions. The course is designed, monitored and
continually upgraded by an Advisory Council comprising business leaders,
management experts as well as officers from governmental and international
agencies.
Participants in IMI's PGPIM have the option of earning the MBA (International
Business) degree from Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia in an accelerated
manner through credit transfer for courses done at IMI.
Participant
Profile
Executives with 3 years or more
of post graduation work experience who have the potential to be leaders and
shapers of their companies in the international business arena. Participants
would be: -

Company sponsored executives
who would return to their companies after the programme.

Self sponsored executives who
finance their participation in the programme. IMI will assist in placement
for these students.

Owner managers who take time
off from their businesses and would return to their businesses after the
programme.

International professionals
from countries with whom the Government of India runs scholarship programmes
as well as fee paying students who would return to their country after the
programme.
Programme
Content
The programme is designed for
delivery in 4 modules which are arranged in layers so that one layer forms the
basis of, and leads into, the next layer. The 4 modules are: -
Twelve months after programme
completion there will be a week-long follow up session to appraise the value
added by the programme in the students� work as well as to provide the students
with additional inputs based on their experiences. No separate fee will be
charged for the follow-up session, except that the participants have to bear the
costs of travel and stay.

Tuition fee for Indian
participants will be Rs. 400,000. (No distinction in fees will be made
between company sponsored, self sponsored and owner manager participants.)
Tuition fee for international participants will be: -

Euro 9,000
IMI will provide assistance in obtaining on/off campus accommodation for
students, at additional cost. Currently on campus accommodation is provided,
based on availability, at Rs. 35,000 per annum exclusive of meals.
Eligibility
-
Graduates in the 10+2+3
system in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian
Universities (includes a large number of Indian as well as international
degrees).

Post-degree experience of a
minimum of 3 years.

Good command over written and
spoken English.
Admission
Procedure
Candidates will be required to
take a written test administered by IMI to assess knowledge of mathematics and
English. This will be followed by an interview to assess suitability for
benefiting from the course. International students under the Government of India
scholarship programme will be interviewed at the Indian Embassy in their
country.

Obtaining a brochure that
includes the application form by payment of Rs. 300. Payment can either be
made across the counter by cash at IMI, India or by enclosing a demand draft
in favor of "International Management Institute", payable in New Delhi
addressed to the Program Secretary (PGPIM).
Filled in application forms can be returned to the Program Secretary (PGPIM)
accompanied by a demand draft of Rs. 700 in favor of "International
Management Institute", payable in New Delhi.
