Chetana's Ramprasad Khandelwal Institute of Management and Research was inaugurated on 28th August 1981 with an objective of not only imparting quality management education but also for the overall personality development of the students. The Governor of Maharashtra Hon. Shri O. P. Mehta, in the presence of Principal Mr. Ram Joshi, Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, inaugurated the event. Since then the Chetana society has forayed into active learning, executive skills development and multi-disciplinary skills. The softer but crucial aspects of management training is 'ATTITUDE' building, developing a mind-set for holistic, systematic thinking and recognizing skills for administration; all these in addition to the conventional inputs towards development of analytical & rational skills. "CHETANA" has come a long way in achieving these objectives and in a short span of time, the Institute has carved a niche for itself in the field of Management Education and Research emerging as one of the premier B-schools amongst the top B-schools in the country. The Quality of teaching is outstanding and at par with the requirement of the corporate world. The result is rich environment for the students, which offers them an opportunity for interaction with intellectual pioneers.
