What is the value of cot 15o + cot 75o + cot 135o - cosec 30o?
(1) 3   (2) Infinity   (3) 1   (4) None of these
Correct Answer - (3)
 

 

Solution:

cot 15 + cot (90 - 15) + cot (90 + 45) - cosec 30 = cot 15 + tan 15 - tan 45 - cosec 30
=  2/Sin 30- 1 - 2 = 4 - 1 - 2 = 1.
