(x + 2) ² = 9
=> x + 2 = � 3
=> x = 1 or -5
and (y + 3) ² = 25
=> y + 3 = � 5
=> y = 2 or -8
Therefore, maximum value of x / y = -5 / -8 = 5 / 8.
