FORE School of
Management Observes 35% Rise in Average Salary in Placements 2008
FORE School of Management,
one of the premier management institutes of India, has made a land-mark
achievement in successful placement season with the entire batch being placed on
first day itself.
Dr. Seema Sanghi,
Director, FORE School of Management, said, "We at FORE are proud to announce
that majority of the Foreians received multiple offers and many companies had to
return empty-handed. The participating organisations also include many
first-time recruiters in addition to the regular recruiters at FORE."
ICICI Bank and Infosys were the
recruiters offering the most offers with 26 and 14 offers respectively.
Recruiters included leading global banks such as Citi, HSBC, Standard Chartered;
finance majors like DE Shaw, Deloitte and JP Morgan; firms like Accenture and
Ingram. First time recruiters included Hindustan Unilever, Adidas, VSNL, Tata
Motors and Thomas Cook. Regular recruiters like Hero Honda, Asian Paints, Idea
Cellular, IMRB, Bank of America and ICICI Prudential also recruited again this
year. Some of the profiles offered were in the area of Equity Research, Product
Management, Brand Management, Investment Banking.

The
average package jumped to more than Rs. 8.0 Lakhs per annum while the
highest package was offered by the international
recruiter Jumbo Group, Dubai at Rs. 26 Lakhs per annum. The
highest domestic offer is Rs. 11 Lakhs. In
keeping with past trends, engineers and non-engineers fared equally well. The
laterals of the batch also performed well with their average package being more
than Rs. 9 Lakhs per annum.
