ISB Hyderabad to Host
First Asian Conference on Family Business
February 1-3, 2008
The Indian School of Business (ISB)
is organising the First Asian Conference on Family Business from February
1-3, 2008, at the ISB Campus, Hyderabad. The conference is being organised under
the aegis of the Thomas Schmidheiny Chair of Family Business & Wealth
Management with the theme �Sustaining Growth in Family Business�.
Participating in this conference are eminent business leaders from successful
family-owned businesses from across Asia, along with leading academicians and
researchers from several countries.

the Asian region. This conference will bring together the rich experiences of
family business leaders, professional executives, and academicians. It will help
business leaders to understand how to build and strengthen a successful business

The conference will also host a
research meet of leading academicians from countries such as China, Singapore,
Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, USA and Europe, besides India.

Dean, Academic Programmes and Thomas Schmidheiny Fellow of Family Business and

The Thomas Schmidheiny Chair
of Family Business & Wealth Management at the ISB is the First Research
Chair on family business in the country. It conducts research, training and
teaching in the area of family business. The Chair is the India partner for a
global study on sustaining entrepreneurship across generations in family
businesses. It offers courses in family business for the post graduate programme
and also conducts executive education programmes.
